Does Blockfolio still exist?
The fate of Blockfolio took a dramatic turn on November 11, 2022, when FTX (formerly Blockfolio) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States. This marked a significant downfall for the platform, as the once-prominent app and exchange faced a crisis. Amid this turmoil, Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of FTX, stepped down, signaling the end of an era for both FTX and the Blockfolio brand
Is Blockfolio the same as FTX?
Not exactly the same. In 2020, Blockfolio was acquired by the cryptocurrency exchange FTX for $150 million. After the acquisition, FTX rebranded Blockfolio to FTX, aligning the app's identity more closely with the exchange. While the core functionality of tracking and managing cryptocurrency portfolios remained, the app’s branding and integration with FTX’s trading features became more pronounced.
